Murcia

The Region of Murcia offers a very balanced mix between sea, city and inland territory. Its coastline on the Costa Cálida includes open beaches, coves and unique spaces such as the surroundings of the Mar Menor, while the interior brings together mountain ranges, valleys, crop fields and towns with a strong local identity. On a cultural level, the community has historic centers, religious architecture, sites and festive traditions, with Murcia capital and Cartagena as two great centers of urban interest. In parallel, the network of natural spaces allows for hiking, cycling and active tourism plans with relatively short trips between areas. The regional gastronomy, based on garden produce, rice, salted meats and Mediterranean cuisine, is another of its great assets.
